Meet Pastry Chef and Owner: Monica Banas
Starting with a vision to create out of the ordinary and whimsical baked goods, Monet Baking Company was born in the Fall of 2011.
Monica graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Speech Communications. She started her confectionary adventures after a long-standing passion led her to enroll at the Institute of Culinary Education. After graduation, she interned at Gramercy Tavern under the direction of Pastry Chef Nancy Olsen. Moving back to her native state, she went on to work at Cake Haven in Danbury, CT making custom cakes along with teaching classes to children at The Young Chef's Academy in Brookfield, CT. Since 2008, she has been the pastry chef at The Amber Room in Danbury, CT.
Using my years of experience, I work with my clients to envision the perfect creations for their special events. Whether it be for an intimate party or large event, Monet Baking Company can provide you with superior quality, high end pastry goods to remember.
